Food and Our Final Event

This week in ASAP we practiced the song “Let it Grow” and made pizza, smoothies, and a popcorn topping with the sugar kelp (saccharina latissima) that we grew.  Then parents and friends came to the school for our culminating event, so we could share what we learned with them, perform our song, and enjoy the food together.  This was our last ASAP event.  Thank you to everyone who made the program possible!

We crushed dried kelp using a mortar and pestle.  We sprinkled this kelp powder on popcorn.

We performed “Let it Grow.”  It is to the tune of “Let it Go” from the Disney movie Frozen.
